He hit a new low when he was arrested for DWI after crashing his car, and Randy Travis owes a great debt of gratitude to his fans for bailing him out of jail.
The disgraced country crooner received a $21,500 surprise when a Texas man posted his bond, while another admirer gave him a ride home to “do the humanitarian thing.”
Still, Randy has a long road ahead of him- he was arrested after cops found him napping naked in a wrecked car, and tried to wake him. “At one point during the evening and at some point after that he made contact with him, he threatened to kill two of the troopers,” said a police source.
Back in February, Travis was arrested for public intoxication after being found drunk in his car parked in a church parking lot.
